Leitz Style A5 Soft Cover Ruled Notebook - Titan B&hellip by Leitz

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
I doubt I'm the first reviewer to note that this notepad is a Moleskine wannabe. The wee pouch in the back, the page marker, the elastic closure, the price...

...THE PRICE! I mean come on! 22 (at the time of writing) is blooming extortionate for a notepad. Walk down the stationery aisle at Asda or WHS and you'll find any number of A5 pads of variable quality for less than a tenner. I wouldn't mind so much if it was of comparable quality to a Moleskine, but it ain't quite there. Much simpler than "real" porridge done in the saucepan (half an hour to cook, 5 minutes to eat, an hour to clean the pan). I make this up with water instead of milk to keep it /really/ healthy and only add a half-teaspoon of sugar. A tiny pinch of salt would help the flavour but I do… Read more

Well look. If you want good, old fashioned, unadulterated porridge, made from scratch, you can buy porridge oats by the box (or a sachet), add milk, sugar and salt(!) to taste and cook it up in a saucepan or nuke it in a cereal bowl. On the other hand, if you're away from hearth and home, have access to no more than a kettle and a spoon and you NEED a convenient porridge fix, this stuff serves.Added sugar, added milk powder, all you need is boiling water. I myself like to add a pinch of salt because it brings out the flavour of the oats.

The end result is a fairly convincing serving (a SMALL serving) of your favourite… Read more
