Its boxing day in my house and we've just played Dungeon for the first time. Tell a lie, i first played it when i was a wee lad and its been out of print until recently. So i snapped it up for my kids and it made a great christmas present. I was hoping it was as good as i remember it and to my surprise it was actually better. Presentation is great, gameplay is virtually identical to the original 80s game and it was great fun for both kids and adults. I heartily recommend it to anyone, and at 15 its an unbelievable bargain.

I expected a exercise book but got a great read which was very well written with humour and an understanding of the childs point of view ( as well as their parents ). Highly recommended and much more valuable than the countless exercise books that little the KS1&2 market.

I bought this as a Christmas present for my daughter and decided to read them to check the content. Although i enjoyed them, I found them way way too violent and gore ridden. I think i am quite a liberal soul, but frankly the gore and horrific graphic deaths portrayed in these books merely hides a horror writer whose diction isn't advanced enough to write a proper grown up book. I know the series is popular but to allow a child to read them is frankly bad parenting. My daughter never got them for Christmas and wont be reading them until she is at least 15.
