Hot Fuzz is a clever film of two distinct levels of enjoyment.

First its a high octaine romp with clever comedic twists that finally gives the good ol' britsih copper a movie to say we're cool too. Simon Pegg and Nick Frost come across very well and there chemistry on screen is very good. There are also some lines that are extremely quoatable.

Secondly, its a amusing look back (or homage) to many of the american police based tv and movie shows that started with Starsky and Hutch in the 70's through NYPD blue and to movies (good or bad) like Bad Boys. This is not a fluffy film like the Jude Law version, Caine's Alfie is far harsher and abrupt however it makes hims a far more honest and iconic character that truely brings the movie into some sort of social context, and the fashions are just as infamous as the film itself

There is nothing like a group on in jokes, swearing and simple uncompremising humours. If you reaisly offended or havent seen the other 4 films before it u havent got a chance of getting the best of the film, but Kevin Smiths quick one liners and the obvious cameos, especially the "hey kids it mark hamill" and making Shannon Elilabeth (justice) have glasses as "justice is blind".
Definatly not one for the kids,
