Fifty Great Things to Come Out of the Midlands by Robert Shore
This book was recommended by Amazon based on previous purchases. It was a free book, so I thought I would take a chance. It is ok but nothing special. It seems to be designed to get people to read Robert Shore's other book, which this book has a taster chapter of. He writes well and I'll certainly consider reading his other book but this book was more a list of things from the Midlands and I enjoyed the taster chapter more than the main book.
OFF THE MAP: 25 True Stories to Inspire Your Next &hellip by Chelsea Fagan
This is a free book and contains lots of very short pieces about people's travels across the world. It was slightly a mixed bag, some articles were very well-written and gave you a flavour of the situation/place; while others were rather poorly written and as one reviewer stated, a bit better than the essays people wrote in school on the return from holiday. It passed the time but I wouldn't recommend it.
All Quiet on the Western Front (with panel zoom)
	&hellip by Erich Maria Remarquem
My wife was telling me I should read All Quiet on the Western Front. As I couldn't find the classic version on the kindle, I thought I would download this book to see what it was like and to get a taster before reading the proper book. This cartoon version is very good and ideal for those in their teenage years. It is easy to read and covers the general gist of the story. It was a bit hard to read on an old style kindle but I managed it and now keen to read the original.
