This book is VERY heavy (almost annoyingly so), so hard to carry in a shoulder bag, but has been very useful to be as an English student. I would definitely recommend buying it if you need it for your course instead of borrowing it from the library

As a Philosophy student, I use this text all the time. The selections included in it are always relevant and it's nice to have so many in one place

As a Film Studies student, I have got a lot of use out of this book. It is well written, informative, interesting and an excellent source for essays. A must if you are interested in the classic Hollywood era
