I'm the first to say anything negative about low-budget horror movies. And with good reason: the directing, the acting, and the script usually suck. However, in this case, I gave "Dracula Reborn" a shot because of Corey Landis, who played Jonathan Harker. His acting was pretty decent and it made me want to watch more of the film, despite the low production value and mediocre acting.

Be on the lookout for the scenes where Dracula mesmerizes people. I found it creepy and sinister. The CGI really brought out the mood and those strange whispers sealed it for me.

Not a bad offering for the horror genre. You could do worse.

I must admit the title drew me in. I thought this was going to be a creature feature about a big, nasty spider preying on unsuspecting teenagers. Instead, I got to see something different but no less entertaining. Some scenes in the movie reminded me of Hostel, only not as intense. There's a back story that should have been more fully developed, but I guess he needs to save that material for the sequel, depending on how well Spiderhole does in DVD sales.

The acting was okay for the most part and the house looked creepy enough but the ending left me wanting. I know this is Simpson's debut as a director so I won't tear him apart this time. Seriously, he did an okay job. It's worth… Read more
