Fee gives an overall picture of translation and the aims of translators, plus the phenomenal increase in textual evidence since King James authorised the publishing of a Bible in English. Fee is thoroughly evangelical in his apptoach to scholarship and examining the texts.
I worked through the book just before I retired and in the year since have re read and re thought the implications of the book. Great for all people in transition, especially thoses retiring from very responsible jobs where loss of influence and fulfilment are huge.
