Beyond Desire Collection: (A Limited Edition Boxed&hellip by J.S. Scott
5.0 out of 5 stars brilliant read, 1 Aug 2014
What fantastic value for so many brilliant stories all rolled into one e-book. I enjoyed every single story as much as the rest and will definitely be on the lookout for more good compilations like this. A great summer read.

5.0 out of 5 stars fantastic book, 11 April 2014
This book really drew me in to the life of Nellie Clark and her family (both actual and cuckoo nest). A lot of historical fact in the story, which made me think about how difficult life must have been before and during WW1. I would thoroughly recommend the book and will definitely look out for more fro the same author.
The Lost Child of Philomena Lee: A Mother, Her Son&hellip by Martin Sixsmith
5.0 out of 5 stars Hard hitting, 13 Mar 2014
I found this book gripping but hard hitting. It covers lots of the issues of that time, for example the way girls in Ireland who became pregnant out of wedlock were treated and the effects that stayed with them throughout the rest of their lives, also the beginning of AIDS and the effects the disease had on the world in the early days after it's discovery. What Philamena Lee, her biological son Antony, known after his adoption as Michael, and his adoptive sister Mary who was with him throughout his life, went through is beyond belief in this day and age. Definitely worth a read, preferably before seeing the film of the same story.
