Considering just how many sci-fi series there have been since 2000, this ranks among the best 5 in my books - and I have watched them all because i buy the complete boxsets after they finish regardless.
The CGI backdrop is at times A-movie worthy, the interiors less so, but this is nothing spectacular anymore. What makes it brilliant is one, the casting of the two lead ladies. M. Baccarin giving her evil "i'm so pleased with myself" stare is worth watching through an entire episode alone, and E. Mitchell is convincing as someone who is not afraid to get her hands dirty, but would rather keep them clean for the sake of not alienating her son.
