In My Own Words:
Ch-ch-ch-changes! Great to be back in Newford Haven!

My mommy said there are no monsters, no real ones , But there are. Why do they tell little kids that?

Ultimately this infinite number of monkeys experiment has gone wrong....they aren't typing out the works of Shakespeare, they're acting out Titus Andronicus in full global virtual glory. ( Hint! One of the really nasty ones). I blame everythin… Read more

Finish All-in-One Regular (Pack of 1, Total 56 Tab&hellip by Finish
5.0 out of 5 stars Fizzing, 15 April 2014
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
I use the Finish brand on a regular basis. These did seem to get a rehash recently (although the ones I bought from a supermarket were crumbly- these ones were back to good quality). They really do fizz- we are stuck in a rented flat with a ghastly non working waste disposal unit that is plumbed in with the dishwasher. Usually we get food trapped in the waste disposal part causing jams in the system. The fizz is actually keeping the whole system cleaner and I'm having to unblock the sink a lot less often. They also worked better that the gel like finish version (which my other half got to trial) in this respect. Finish, unlike scented Fairy tablets don't leave a pungent taste. Ultimately… Read more
MegaRed Original Krill Oil - Pack of 60 Tablets by Megared
4.0 out of 5 stars Seems to work, but, 15 April 2014
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
Well this product does claim to be 100% Krill oil ( another brand mixes with normal fish). Whether this is better or not can only be determined from a longer term test. I've seen suggestions on the web that it takes a month for the benefits to kick in. Other half has been trying this out, while I plod on with normal cod liver oil. On the days when he forgets, he says his joints do ache more. Truly it is hard to tell.
The issues with Krill remain as to whether we should be snatching the food out a Blue Whale's mouth, when there is relatively large supplies of leftover normal fish. Also a recent survey review suggested a link between fish oil supplements and prostate cancer- who knows… Read more
Adventures in Raspberry Pi by Carrie Anne Philbin
Adventures in Raspberry Pi by Carrie Anne Philbin

I'm still working my way through this book, but it's review due up time. So far- pretty good- nice confident style which takes you through things step by step (especially compared to the official (?) book which was woe woe, beware of downloading the Pi code on a Windows machine, you'll crash it- use a Linux box instead- really weird). I got engrossed in the links to other successful projects like the birdfeeder camera that Tweets (!) pictures - although there was a lot of expensive kit involved because of the outdoor situation (solar panel, backup battery).
