Manufacturing Processes for Design Professionals by Rob Thompson

A great book and a must for all product design students and professionals. Painstaking effort to research this book. It is as if the authour has been around the country to every factory that makes something and has detailed processes with words and great photos.
This is certainly a step up from those reworked line drawing books of outdated processes that i had as a student. Not overly 'techy', just great explanations and wonderfull photos of actual factories doing stuff. Some graet products are detailed as well. The book even starts with how the book was manufactured - nice touch. Well done.

This is a great book. 250 full colour glossy pages of great sketching. Some explanations of how to create fantastic renderings. I have been a proffesional product designer for over 15 years and i feel inspired to raise my game after getting this book. It should be essential reading for any dersign student. A bit pricey at 30, but i found it excellent value for money.
CELLO TP-1907D - 19" Widescreen LCD Television Wit&hellip by Cello

I just got hold of one of these units; the price is pretty keen. There seems to be a rush to buy small TVs with built in DVD players - i couldnt find one anywhere in my local town.

This unit is pretty basic, fine for the kitchen or a kids bedroom. I agree with the last reviewer the sound is awful. i linked this up to a freeview box and the picture is OK. It is way too bright on any of the presets. I was hoping that there would be a headphone socket so that i could attach some seperate speakers - alsa no!

The DVD player is, again, pretty poor.

i will be keeping it as it is just for the kitchen, i would not use it as a main TV.
