I,m not much a football fan myself (which seems to be a reoccurring theme having read the other reviews)but I do love a fantastic book and especially if it actually makes my laugh out loud. I can only ever think of two other books over the years where I have actually laughed involuntary in a public place whilst reading. This is one of those books. It's about more than football and particularly West Ham or Mr Moon. Its about all of us and I could relate with many observations that were shared by the author Jeremy Nicholas in his witty style.
I do hope that its not his last book because his writing and insights are quite addictive.

Couldnt put it down.

I heard about this book and just knew that It was something that I would enjoy but Oh was I taken by surprise. For the very first time in my entire life I could not put this down until I had finished it. I read it in one sitting. What i enjoyed most about the book was that the author seemed to get inside my head. page after page he seemed to know just what I was thinking (or not) at that moment.
This is a must read for students studying anything to do with Gender Politics, with Masculinity or anything linked to the male psyche.
