4.0 out of 5 stars A good summer read., 21 July 2014
A thoroughly enjoyable quick read.

I love Raven McAllan's writing style and this novella was no exception.

With just a few sentences she introduces us to characters and situations that are both recognisable and believable.

The themes of the story are the importance of trust and communication...both are vital to any relationship.

The setting for the denouement brought back happy memories of being at Silverstone for the British Grand Prix in the late 1980's and early 90's.

5.0 out of 5 stars The perfect summer read, 21 July 2014
A collection of fun, light hearted, erotic stories with seaside settings that take you from a typical English seaside resort (although I must say nothing like that ever happened to me in Scarborough!)to Australia by way of Croatia.

The stories have the themes of chance encounters and the frisson that comes from possible discovery but they are in very different settings, including a historical romp in a bathing machine.

I'm hard pressed to choose a favourite story as they are very well written and I enjoyed them all...unusual in an anthology, for me at least.

I became so involved in the story that I read this book in one sitting and actually sobbed my heart out at the end.
I found Lauren to be a character that I could empathise with and Alexander, for all his faults, was charismatic. I really cared about what happened to them.
Pippa Croft has a crisp writing style that I appreciated. The background and settings were well described without being wordy and spoiling the flow of the story. As I live near Oxford, the city is very familiar to me and I could picture the streets and buildings.
The characters were complex and well rounded with authentic emotions. Emma's teenage angst and feelings of first love were beautifully portrayed… Read more
