Collins Cobuild - Student's Usage: Helping Learner&hellip by Bill Mascull
This is quite an old book, that dates back to the glorius heyday of the "Collins Cobuild" line of products (1996). Still remains one the most useful book for EFL learnes at an intermediate/upper intermediate level. It explains **how to use** (and not just **what they are**) the most important, frequent and easily confusable English terms/verbs/adverbs/expression, organized in an alphabetic order. 5.0 out of 5 stars Best you can buy, 21 Nov 2012
Possibly the best and most authoritative grammar book today available. Just go for it if you are serious about learning how English grammar works. I reccommend it to anyone studying at an upper-intermediate/advanced level.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for CAE and CPE, 25 Sep 2012
One of the best book you can find - if not the best - for English self studying. This book is very well organized and covers both grammar and vocabulary, and it's great if you are studying for CAE and CPE since every exercise has been conceived with those exams in mind. By the way, if you are looking for some "fancy pictures and a low level vocabulary" (check some other reviews around here...) this is not the book for you. On the other hand, if you want a book packed in concise explanations and a lot of exercises, look no further. Michael Vince is never a let down.
