Iron Man: Enter The Mandarin TPB (Iron Man (Marvel&hellip by Eric Canete
5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant!, 13 Jan 2014
A suprising little gem this book is. I agree with the other reviewer that Eric Canete's art might not be everyone's cup of tea. However a good writer can make even a story drawn in crayon brilliant, and Joe Casey achieves this in his retelling of Shellhead's first encounter with his archenemy. If you're an Iron Man fan then I think you'll enjoy this and if you're looking to familiarise yourself with the world of Tony Stark then this is a good place to start. Thoroughly enjoyable.
Superman Infinite Crisis TP (Superman (DC Comics)) by Marv Wolfman
2.0 out of 5 stars IN-COM-PRE-HENS-IBLE, 1 Dec 2013
The only reason I didn't give this one star is because it has some great art, especially modern takes on Golden Age Superman stories. But as a story it's all over the place. From the first page I was lost. I know my Superman mythos, but unless your a total DC anorak this will only give you a headache!
Judge Dredd Day of Chaos: Endgame by John Wagner

I had to keep an eye on myself as a was turning the pages of this book, for fear my eagerness to do so might rip one of them. This is not hyperbole, i loved this book, as a fan of Dredd for 20 years it was hard not to! It's fast paced, brilliantly written, has wonderful characters, both good and bad, and can be very bleak. My only gripe is the cover, which suggests that the characters featured thereon are major cogs in the story. They're not, but its still good to see them after nearly 15 years of an absence. Don't know what i can add to the other reviews except that it was worth every penny!
