While there is no shortage of history books written by modern authors and academics that deal with WW1, these are no substitute for a properly written first hand account from those that lived and breathed the experience. This is the best of this genre I've read and heartily recommend it. Well observed, articulatley written, totally understated. Great throughout - particularly poignant though to me was the ending, where the last entry is a mundane request home for replacement coat, blanket etc then silence - killed the very next day

What can I say? Product is fantastic. Have been an Apple fan for the last 5 years, and bought this for a fantastic price from an amazon trader. It turned out to be an American spec machine, but hey, that's not a problem (when I have time will go online and search out the keyboard shortcut for a £ sign), but amazon trader very poor. No proper expectation set about when it would arrive other than 'within a month'. Daily emails for first 5 days failed to get a parcel number out of them for parcel force as 'the carrier hasn't got back to us with a number yet' so I couldn't track it myself. Sound quality is pretty good, although build quality feels very 'plasticky' . Biggest niggle though is the length of cable - too tight round the neck for comfort and don't think the cheap metal clip will stay attached for long
