I was nobbut a lad when the first wave of spies hit screens in the sixties, I missed out on watching but remember being caught up in the residual excitement - the glossy 'Man From UNCLE' annual at the bottom of my christmas shopping. I got the same sense of childish glee when this CD dropped through my door - it's beautifully packaged and presented with extensive sleeve notes. But the content left me feeling disappointed and here's why. 'High Wire' (Theme from 'Danger Man') and the 'Man From UNCLE' theme here are not the originals. 2.0 out of 5 stars Where's the Blue Tank?, 20 April 2013

From the Dales books I moved on across the border with his walks along the Ribble Valley and this covers similar terrain. It should be ideal; most hikers and tourists head for the Dales - the Forest of Bowland is rich in under-explored gems… Read more

"A bit of a slog" I replied, perhaps subconciously mirroring all I had absorbed of the exhausting progress and sheer blind wilfulness that got the climbing parties up that vast terrifying mountain. To be honest I'd borrowed it from the library and got up to page 346 after three weeks, taking it back to renew it I found there was a waiting list so my request was declined. I was left with the choice of whether to give up on it or borrow it again, read the rest at a later date. I'm so glad I went with the latter option.
Having read other biographies on Scott and Fawcett,… Read more
