5.0 out of 5 stars This is not a toy, 18 Jun 2004
If you are looking for a real camera and not for some toy then this is a low-budget solution for you. The several diffent shooting modes enables you to take pictures easily in different kind of situations. The full automatic mode is of course slow because of multiple parameters which the camera will consider before taking a picture. This thing also feels like a camera in your hand due it is shaped like camera and weights like a camera. Taking pictures through viewfinder (like in plain old cameras) is enjoyable. It is recommended to buy rechargeable batteries and bigger Compact Flash memory card with this.

3.0 out of 5 stars Erratic wholeness, 5 Dec 2003
This book is very often referenced in the contemporary books about the second world war. That for it is essential to have if you want to understand the other works. However, as it is published shortly after the author's death, this book seems to be somehow unfinished. Some chapters are very throughout written with all the facts checked and analysed. But alas some are dealt only superficially and without throughout checking. A couple of smaller British operations (e.g. Syria) are omitted completely.

2.0 out of 5 stars Interesting but jumpy, 9 Nov 2003
The wars seen by the fighting men themselves. But as the author has not wanted to edit those stories, it has come difficult to read when the stories from different persons jump and repeat itself. Probably very good and interesting reading when you are familiar beforehand with the covered campaings and the British armed forces.
