Yes, it's pretty and shiny, Yes, I know. It looked like the kind of thing a stylish gal should have about her girl-pad, but after a few months of use it's kind of grossing me out now. The thing at the bottom collects stagnant water if you forget to empty it (guilty!) - but this isn't a problem very often because the design is so flawed that it topples over ever five minutes anyway (leaking gross water onto the draining board and all my clean glasses) it doesn't like it unless you work out exactly how many knives can go in one side and forks can go in the other, (and wash them in the right order accordingly.) Don't bother with this version - it's not formatted properly or something and you can only read the first page of each poem. Very frustrating!

This one is a bit slow to begin with (it opens with an unnecessarily long description of the window behind which the characters are sitting) but once you become familiarised with the style and setting then you begin to enjoy the story. It does become quite fast paced towards the end, with plenty of action and adventure to make up for any tedium at the start.
If you're looking for something similar to Sherlock Holmes or Professor Challenger then this might not be for you, its a bit hard-going in places and is missing the wit and softness of Conan Doyle's more light hearted stories.
