5.0 out of 5 stars Wow what a read, 11 Aug 2013
I own and have read all of Michael Jecks Templar series (and short stories on kindle) when I first heard about his modern day spy thriller I was unsure whether I could enjoy it, well I have just finished it and was I ever wrong!
This book is a thrilling, fast brilliantly written spy thriller that swaps between Alaska, and London.
Jack Case is a fantastic new character and I really hope that Michael Jecks writes as many Jack Case books as he has Baldwin and Simon books.
I encourage you all to buy this and read it, you will not be disappointed but clear your desk, finish the ironing and any thing else you have to do before you start because you will not be able to put it down… Read more

As a devoted reader of Michael Jecks I was eager to buy this latest book and I was not disappointed either. The story fills in the background of Baldwin and Edgar. It tells why Baldwin went to Acre and how he survived the early days there.
How Baldwin and Edgar met defending Acre and how Baldwin got his scars mentioned so often in the other books in the series.
I highly reccomend this book and the rest of the series to you, I can honestly say that there is not one of Michael Jecks books that I did not enjoy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable read, 25 Jun 2013
I was not sure about this book when I first bought it, but as I settled down to read it I was sucked in to the stories and could not put it down. Told from a different angle we once again meet Baldwin as he solves more crimes, each of the four stories has a twist to it that I could not see coming.
Buy this book you will not be disappointed, it is a brilliant read.
