North Star Grassman and The Ravens ~ Sandy Denny
5.0 out of 5 stars Just brilliant, 29 Feb 2012
Whilst I purchased this as a trip down memory lane to a time when I didn't realise how little I knew, I have not had a single regret and listen to it frequently. Sandy Denny's voice was amazing and the tragedy of her early death robbed British music of a truly unique talent. The addition of increased orchestral backing just enhances the poignancy of her voice and makes you appreciate just how much her music would have developed. Joni Mitchell's lyrics with Joan Collins voice.

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't be frightened, 29 Feb 2012
I bought this as an assistance for my wife to help her launch into use of her IPad. She had not used any Apple products before. It is a thoroughly excellent publication, reassuring and easy to use without being patronising. I now receive regular emails from the IPad and it is fair to say that the book is responsible for her opening a new chapter in her engagement with IT. As for many of the third generation a little bit of consideration for the different needs to those of less maturity has encouraged a curiosity which grows by the day. I recommend the book without reservation.

Sorry Amazon, I bought mine in Hong Kong and it is seriously cheaper, but not enough to cover the air fare!
I am moving up from a Leica 'point and shoot' and was a bit sceptical about my ability to use a 'semi pro' camera. No worries. This camera is forgiving and able to deliver results that encourage you to find out more. And there really is more. I was initially choosing between the D5100 and this. No contest I am afraid. The D5100 is a fine camera but just does come close to the build quality and overall 'feel' of this camera. I am working in Bangladesh where it is very wet. In and out of air con to hot humid conditions is a pretty testing environment for the 'seal' of any camera… Read more
