The best book of its kind that we found. It gave us useful and reassuring information about all the practicalities and technicalities as we experienced them (or as we worried about experiencing them). The only thing it doesn't provide is a personal insight into what pregnancy actually feels like, but there are other books for that. To complement Anne Deans' factual manual, I'd recommend Kaz Cooke's diary in The Rough Guide To Pregnancy. And for men, Andrew Cullen's witty From Here To Paternity (The Diary of a Pregnant Man) was my husband's favourite; it's frank and funny, a book that women can enjoy too.
