Terrence has done it again, with another masterpiece that will knock your bleedin' socks off!! This book had me in floods of tears from start to finish. As I turned each page my heart grew bigger and more loving. People big or small, black or white, compassionate or bigoted will get an awful lot from this one. I say give it a try!!

Uncompromisingly brutal, this Noel Edmonds masterminded project takes the grindcore genre to new extremes. Straight off the bat you know you're in for something truly special as "Old MacBlobby Had a Farm" threatens to obliterate the speakers with its visceral maelstrom of riffs and machine-gun drum patterns. "Ten Pink Blobbies" combines face shredding riffs with the sort of double-bass drumming that make your insides feel like they're about to prolapse. Industrial elements are introduced for the epic "Clockwork", in which Blobby uses his guttural vocal delivery to its full potential to explore themes of ultraviolence. Devo are an awe-inspiringly wonderful band, whose early work in particular is worthy of the highest praise. Funny, silly and serious all at the same time, "Are we not men..." is the band's classic debut; produced by Brian Eno, it contains much of their finest work including "uncontrollable urge" and "Jocko Homo".
The importance of Devo cannot be understated, with bands such as Nirvana, Soundgarden and Melt Banana all having covered their material. Quirky, catchy, but still musically excellent, there is no better CD release of a Devo album available, as it comes packaged with an impressive live EP showing that they were a great live band too.
