This is a useful little reference book. It's not too complicated and so is a good place to start before looking at more in depth commentaries or guides.

I bought this for my wife. She read it from cover to cover quite quickly, despite it being a thick book, and said she enjoued it immensely.

This is a useful reference book and should be anyone's first port of call when they start to read a new book of the bible. For each book of the bible, you are told who wrote it and when, what the main thrust of the book is about, what it means for today, together with specific quotes from the book that are famous or useful. However, the quotes appear to be from the King James Bible rather than a more modern translation.
