Thunder and Sunshine: Around the World by Bike, Pa&hellip by Alastair Humphreys

Told in a very straightforward manner and didn't hide the gruelling parts of the journey. It's interesting to see the contrast between the thought processes of the author at the age he was when he undertook the journey and when he wrote the book. In particular, thinking about whether he'd have undertaken certain parts of the journey if he'd have thought about the possible adverse outcomes from rebels and guerrillas, and the effect it could've had on his family.

Despite the fact he cycled round the world, it's not the type of book that makes you think "I could never do that". It's more the type that makes you think "I'd like to do even a small part of that."

3.0 out of 5 stars Decent enough story..., 13 Oct 2013
... but could do with some editing. There were too many spelling mistakes that crept in. The killer was fairly obvious as well, unlike the first book in the series where it was still unclear right up to the end.
