5.0 out of 5 stars Immense!, 21 Sep 2007
Never heard anything as good as this before. So new, so original, yet so traditional. I'm a World music lover, but this is brilliant.
I've been happy with spending my nights drooling over Ravi Shankar, Ram Narayan, & Up Bustle and Out, never in my deepest dreams would I ever have thought they could be over-shadowed in such a big way!!
If you've got the money to buy this... get it.
If you haven't, sell your right foot and buy this. It's a once in a lifetime CD.
Oh My God... How good is this!?!?!!

4.0 out of 5 stars This is The Pharcyde, 10 Sep 2007
..... is there any more explanation needed as to why you should buy this?

It's their early stuff. Straight outta what many call the golden era of hip-hop.
Shootin Hoops, Wearing Nikes, Bright Clothes, Wanting to have fun.
Thats what this album is about.
It's no Bizarre Ride, but it is early Pharcyde. That should be enough!

Well what can I say.
I saw these guys live. Spoke to John Wesley about Bukowski. Spoke to Van Winkle about his glasses, and basked in the warmth of absolute musical coolness.

There are bands that try to be cool but fail, bands that try to look cool and manage (but then fail due to the fact they had to try to look cool) and then there's these guys. No effort, no trying, just pure coolness. Cool music, cool beats, cool vocals, cool lyrics.

Tom Waits minus the wierdness plus the coolness.
