It's the first time that I've bothered with a book review, however having invested so much time in reading this book, I thought I should throw my viewpoint into the mix.
As the review title states, this book left me thinking what a brilliant book this could have been. It had everything you need and Cronin obviously has the talent, however, it was way too long for the content. The characters were well thought out and I liked the Viral concept, I was even prepared to go along with the fact that they seemed to be relatively easy to kill having previously decemated the whole of the USA who had state of the art technology and warfare at their fingertips.
