In My Own Words:
Thirty Something. I love music, films, and books and am never more than a few hours away from partaking in one. I've been writing for as long as I can remember, and aside from thousands of book, film, record and concert reviews, have also written several novels, that - with any luck - will be published after my death in a drama of Kafkaesque proportions. The sequel, of sorts, to 1995's "Alternative", "Format" is best seen as perhaps part of a very much a dying breed : The B-sides album. Over their quarter century (is it that long? A good pair of headphones is a must in the modern world. Look beyond the fact that this is a "Nokia" set and see what these headphones are : a regular set of 3.5mm earpieces for almost any phone, music player, or PC with a built in microphone for handfree conversation. In phone mode, the sound and microphone are clear and useful, with faithful reproduction. As far as handsfree earpieces go this is one of the better sets I have used. In headphone mode, the reproduction is clear and high quality : particularly on the warmer sounds such as organic / live drums, bass, and vocals. The problem with cheap (and often, with not cheap, celebrity headphones) are the lack of fidelity in faithfully… Read more
