We got this for our granddaughter to play with at our house. Thought we could fold it up when she wasn't here. It's akin to a tent or caravan awning. Life's too short to keep putting it up and taking it down. Ours is gracing the spare bedroom fully erected. If you don't have a spare bedroom and don't want to take up mini camping I suggest you try something else. The counter is only held on with velcro so you can't lean on it - we discovered that when granddaughter fell flat on her face as she leaned on the counter to ask us what she could do for us. Having said all that the wee one loves it.
