Having seen the trailer this documentary was pretty much what I expected, playing entertainingly on the contrast between a bunch of modern-day hippies at a retreat in the woods (and connecting with the woods) in Sweden and a wannabe macho Australian rugby coach who finds himself there for two weeks by accident. However, what I didn't expect was a couple of really surprising moments which happen after all the standard amusing hippie clichés have been exhausted, one incredibly shocking and the other revealing that even years of yoga and tantric sex can't rid us of the nastier aspects of human nature. Even though this book is a "rom-com" on paper, it's a great light read... I loved it... There's also the benefit that it's beautifully written, with nary a word out of place. I wouldn't argue it's totally predictable either, but I'm not going to spoil it and tell you why.

This book is written in a beautiful, descriptive style which belies its slightly "chick lit" cover - combine this with an entrancing story and a great depth of character development and you've got a really great piece of literature - I really really enjoyed this book!
