5.0 out of 5 stars Brazilian sunshine..., 5 April 2010
Alex Malheiros- of the group Azymuth- brings us some much needed Brazilian musical sunshine with this superb release on the Far out label.Featuring musical help from Banda Utopia and his own daughter Sabrina Malheiros the level of musicianship on this cd is exemplary. The opening cut "Serenity" has great interplay between the piano,Alex's bass playing and the beautiful sound of the flute. "Uno Esta" is a cover of a tune originally recorded by Bobbi Humphrey in the mid-70's and sounds great here. This is also one of several tracks which feature his daughter Sabrina on vocals.

Joey Negro-surely the uk's answer to Tom Moulton-has done it again with his latest Sunburst band project.Dripping with soulful dancefloor grooves and ace guest vocalists the cd is a lethal combination of 80's boogie and modern House.
After the intro,"Rough times" penned by the great Ashford and Simpson, gets things moving with vocalist Yolanda Wynns letting rip Chaka Khan style. You will believe that the paradise Garage has reopened after hearing this!
"Our lives are shaped" is a great soulful boogie cut that gets better with every play.
My favourite cut is "Put a lyric in it" which has a great mid tempo feel and sounds like it could have been on one of those old… Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars A great laugh, 18 Nov 2007
Here is a great collection of gaffes and stupid quotes made by politicians both from the UK and US.I take my hat off to the authors Mark Hanks and Ben Garrett for compiling these.George w Bush features heavily which should of course suprise no one(would you trust this man to run a market stall?).Another idiotic speech was Donald Rumsfeld's "Unknown knowns" which is included here(what on earth was he talking about?)
We also get contributions from Blair,Brown and John Major etc so buy and have a good giggle.
