CATH KIDSTON ANTIQUE ROSE HAND TOWEL by Cath Kidston
4.0 out of 5 stars Very pretty towel, 28 Jan 2014
Looks lovely. The recipient was totally delighted with it-being a Cath Kidston fan. My only complaint was it was sent recorded delivery and as we weren't in we had to go and collect it from the sorting office. It would have fitted through the letterbox!
Gently Continental (The Inspector George Gently Ca&hellip by Alan Hunter
This book is written most oddly, certainly in the Kindle edition. It starts off very philosophically about whether real things are really real and eventually gets to the story which is very hard to read, especially as there are no inverted commas, so reading a conversation is extremely difficult. Occasionally a conversation is written with the name of the person speaking written in capitals followed underneath by what they have to say. This is easier to follow but still very odd.
The story itself was quite good, but I nearly abandoned it several times. I have read many George Gently books and no others were written like this
Dead in the Water (A Daisy Dalrymple Mystery) by Carola Dunn
This book was the first I read of the Daisy Dalrymple books. I now have about 7 on my Kindle. They are a pleasant read, usually with nice characters and also usually with a surprising but not shocking outcome. I enjoyed this one as the start of the series, funny to think of life without mobile phones or TV or anything we regard as a necessity of life nowadays.
