In My Own Words:
I live in a house on a hill with two little people and one foreign one. I hate old peoples houses, tutting, noisy people in the cinema, chewing gum, false laughs, Blokes-who-try-to-show-their-masculinity-by-noisily-flicking-through-papers. I love stories (on paper or screen), music, editing, making my brain go bendy and reading bad reviews (especially those written by pretentious fools who are so … Read more

VideoStudio X2 Pro Ultimate by Corel
3.0 out of 5 stars Rad man, 16 Jul 2009
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Programme (What's this?)
I hate misleading titles. The words "pro" and "extreme" obviously indicate that you are buying something that could be used by a professional...sadly the reality is that you are being targeted as someone who's research begins and ends during the scanning of those words. Videostudio is fine if you just want to cut up bits of footage and wack it on youtube, fairly useless if you want to do anything more serious. Certainly if you are an aspiring "pro" who likes to cut things up to the "extreme".

No pictures and in a plain paperback format FPaFFVMaSSAEFaFFRME (who doesn't love the snappy, wacky title?) is a book without style or content. Aside from the fact that the author actually includes no fish pie recipes and is discouraging of french fries (preferring instead to include 3 pages on stodgy chunky chips) this is a pointless affair which will please neither the novice cook - who will find the constant approximation and variation of recipes confusing - or anyone more experienced or owning one staple cookbook, as much of the content is a already available in superior titles like Delia's Complete Cookery Course. Uninventive and totally uninspiring.

The Goal Trilogy was a brilliant concept; take a fictional player and follow his career from slum to World Cup with the involvement of real clubs and players. The first film was the usual rags to riches tale with Santiago Munez leaving Mexico for Newcastle United (hmmm maybe rags to rags then). Goal 2 saw `Santi' joining Real Madrid and dealt with the trappings of fame. It had some brilliant cameos and left me hoping that Goal 3 would see our diminutive Mexican friend having to make a decision whether to play for Mexico, USA or Spain. Instead Goal 3 jettisons it's original concept, sidelines Santi Munez and instead concentrates on the two embarrassing English players and their sub-Dream… Read more
