Great entertainment with Shahrukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit. Typical bollywood - be prepared for unrealistic situations, lots of music and dance, love, betrayal, and joy through tears. Good!
'Lajja' is a shocking, at times terrifying film with some very strong female characters, depicting Indian women's lives in India and abroad. Fantastic actors: Manisha Koirala, Madhuri Dixit, Rekha, Ajay Devgan, Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff give their best in this extremely realistic picture. I guess you could call the film feminist as it depicts the lives of women persecuted and abused by men in patriarchal India. Really worth watching.
