This book has been around in paperback for years.

Suddenly Nelson Mandela sadly dies, and as if by magic it's out in hardback for £25.

Surely no-one would be trying to make money out of the great man's sad passing? Hmm......

This book is the first Ben Elton book I have read. It is a fantastic roller coaster of a story, which inspires love and support for all the main characters, whilst highlighting both the major and the more petty atrocities that the Nazis subjected the Jewish Germans to. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes well developed characterisation and/or with an interest in the rise of the Nazis.
Traitor's Blood (The Civil War Chronicles) by Michael Arnold

This debut by Michael Arnold is fantastic. I'm one of those people for whom only a really good book has me riveted, and this one did. The author appears to have a good grasp of the civil war period, and much like the Shardlake books by C J Sansom, gave me a feeling of being there watching as events unfold.

I am looking foward to further books in the series, and wish Mr Arnold the very best of luck.

The only downside......................... Stryker is a royalist.
