The History of Pembroke Dock by Elizabeth G. Stuart Peters
The History of Pembroke Dock by Elizabeth G. Stuart Peters

This book, a reprinting of the earlier 1905 edition, has a good quality feel to it. This printing is a just commemoration of the bicentenary of the founding of Pembroke Dock.

Given that the cover price is under considerably under 20, I am surprised that it is only available through Amazon at a price of 39.99!

I strongly recommend the book, but look for a cheaper option elsewhere.
The Sail and Steam Navy List 1815-1889 by David Lyon

An epic piece of work that I shall continue to refer to for the rest of my life. It is thorough and detailed and provides pointers to other avenues of investigation for each ship. A life's work.
A Town Built to Build Ships - The History of Pembr&hellip by Phil Carradice
Without drawing on many primary sources, Phil Carradice has produced a readable introduction to the history of Pembroke Dock. This book delivers an appreciation of the history of the town without any great analysis.
