There's a dearth of marketing books available, many from overseas and so not relevant to the UK market.

This is a really well written book from an experienced UK based marketer that is choc full of marketing strategies and tips that work. How can I say this? I am a marketer myself with 3 decades plus of experience and so I know only too well the difference between spin and substance, between hyped up strategies and those with depth and credibility because they come from the experience of a person like Bryony. A marketer who has honed her craft and now wants to share it in this her first book.

I bought this book after yet another sleepless night. I am an author and found that when I was writing my third book last year, I began to suffer from insomnia bad enough to go to the doctors and get sleeping tablets. As I don't like taking any form of medication unless absolutely necessary I wanted to find a way of overcoming my insomnia. My problem was getting to sleep. Dozing off in front of the television then finding it hard to sleep until the very early hours of the morning. There are many books written to inspire and motivate readers to achieve greater things in their business and life, and some have their merits. However a book that is not only a joy to read, that has you nodding in empathy, smiling, laughing and that actually motivates you because of the searing honesty and insights of the author is a rare gem indeed. Brad Burton has managed to write a book that not only ticks the motivational boxes but it is a great read too. It's worth reading for his anecdotal stories alone but his insights are powerful and he shows great humility in laying bare his successes and failures, nudging the reader along and adding some powerful, clear but simple to follow tips… Read more
