or so I thought. Turns out I love it :). Dragon Dawn is a multi-layered and complex book that is nigh on impossible to put down. The descriptions of life on Mars and a Cretaceous Earth were evocative and spell binding, the characters (both humans and other-wordly) immediately likeable, the premise totally believable. I have often wondered about the K-T event and how it would've looked, now I need wonder no longer as Ms O'Neill Cordes has placed great images in my mind. No mean feat to pull off, that, and no doubt had Ms O'Neill Cordes not already established her expertise throughout the book through the use of extensive archaeology, paleo-archeology (I'm sure I'm missing an 'ology' here!)… Read more

If you like your romances sizzling with the pressure of sexual tension, then this baby is for you. How she does it is beyond me but the moment you start reading, you're hooked. The language Ms McKellen uses lets you know in no uncertain terms that when these two get together, worlds will collide. I admire how Ms McKellen stirs up the tension and then lets it explode in such an immensely tasteful and satisfying way. Paranormal novels seem to be my thing at the moment and I loved Between. A new take (to me anyway) on the guardian angel theme, I loved the two spirits with their own baggage and hopping between times. Each story pulled at me in their own different ways and kept me enthralled throughout. Looking forward to the next...
