Calvin Classics Appeared OK to start with

Purchased 6 pairs of these in extra large size and on initial inspection they appeared
excellent however, two pairs within the multipacks of three are of a smaller size and
just fit my son who takes a medium.Perhapse that is why they appeared good value for money!!!.
My last two string purchases have been for Dean Markley Acoustic and Dean Markley Electric both from the HD Helix stable.
The first set were faulty with a low "e" string broken where wrapped around the ferule,the second set had a total of 93 rusted areas
throughout the g,b,e strings and throughout the leaders of the wound strings.The rusted areas were even apparent on the paper
sleeves.As both sets were shrink wrapped any moisture must have been present at manufacture.Markley state that all strings are
Corrosion Protected by CORTEC however not in these cases.
I have always liked the Helix strings however I will be giving them a wide birth until Dean… Read more

Does the job.

This handy little tool from Draper does the job.
Rewind sets cost many times more and whilst this
may not be the most sophisticated equipment in
the world as cumbersome to use but hey,it works
and if you are like me a jobbing mechanic,then
this sort of tool is much appreciated.
