i found this book deeply disappointing and annoying. The characters are totally one-dimensional and, like other reviewers, i simply didn't care what happened to them. I'm annoyed with myself that I got caught up with the hype and bought it. I appreciate that it's not my typical genre, but if you're a fan of Kate Atkinson, Hilary Mantel, or Margaret Atwood, then think again before reading this. Try The Land of Decoration by Grace McCleen instead - brilliant.
