5.0 out of 5 stars Simply brilliant, 20 Aug 2013
This device is simple to 'zero' and I have found it very accurate.
I bought it mainly for DSLR HD video shooting, where slightly 'off' horizons and center frame verticality are difficult issues to correct in post. The Opteka is a great help to me in eliminating small unseen, but irritating errors.
Equally, when shooting stills from the hand, it is comforting to have a reliable extra reference.
It is always preferable to level the image at the shooting stage, and I find the Opteka a brilliantly helpful accessory.
Death of an Addict (Hamish Macbeth) by M.C. Beaton
I am working my way through the entire series. The Hamish Macbeth stories are all a pleasant, warm, interesting and not overly long read. They all feature an engaging lead character who is an unambitious village policeman with an unfailing ability to solve local murders. Death of an Addict is typical, and is a very pleasant read. This book features lots of mystery with intriquing characters. It is set (mainly), in what appears to be fairly rugged Scottish countryside.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great WARM socks, 17 Feb 2013
I bought these during a recent very cold snap to wear, (in wellies), when out lakeside fishing. I just cannot count the number of "thick" socks I have accumulated - none of which actually keep my feet warm. These socks are superb, and keep my feet really cosy whatever the circumstances. I even took a pair to Switzerland for use on a couple of 2,000 metre adventures ... and I experienced no discomfort at all! My most meaningful accolade? I bought a second pair.
