As many others, I have had to buy this book for an OU course that I am doing and I must say that I am very disappointed with it. I can't help but feel that Carter could have condensed the whole book into about one chapter as all he seems to do is repeat the same ideas continuously.
What's more, I found myself shaking my head and disagreeing with most things I came across in the book. One cannot always say that repetition is creative, however,this is something that Carter tries to convince us of all the time. I also felt that the conclusions were unconvincing.
