The guide has a nice introductory part about facts of the Great Barrier Reef, corals and marine life. I appreciated a lot the chapter regarding diving and conservation awareness and the environmental conscious attitude throughout the book. Anyways, in a Lonely Planet guide I would have expected some reviews of the diving operators that could help me to choose the best one for me. Instead there is only a list of dive services in the very last pages and the guide is mainly a description of the main dive sites. Well written and interesting, but not the book I was looking for.
