I came across this album whilst working through the Anjunadeep back catalogue. I've no idea how to categorise it... Progressive deep melodic house? It's a very unique and grown up combination of gorgeous vocals, orchestral strings and deep house beats.

A personal favourite is the track 'Thought Emotions', the modulating intensity of which captures perfectly the feelings of someone who isn't in a happy place. But this is a rare dark moment - the rest of the tracks are nothing if not uplifting.

Also worth a mention is the superb production. It's beautifully mixed and staged with the sound just leaping out of the speakers.

Overall, it's a work of genius. If… Read more

Really nice watch. Slightly oversized face, really slim, understated and elegant. I've had mine a couple of months and a number of people have comment on it. You can't tell from the photo but the face is is a very pale champagne colour. Also mine doesn't say 'by ingersol' above the date.

I couldn't disagree more with the BBC review (does my licence fee pay for this rubbish?), this album shows that Chicane has reached maturity in their own time. This is an absolutely sure-footed release and every single track is strong in it's own way. There are some great ambient tracks here harking back to Madding Crowds, some fresh sounding trance and a great 80's electro vibe that works really well. Also worth a mention is the production quality - the sound just leaps out of the speakers. You can tell every track has been crafted, every waveform carefully positioned in the stereo field. For me, this is a stand out CD of 2010.
