CHARANGO Alba 18 (Wood Naranjillo) Cover fir (Jaca&hellip by Alba
5.0 out of 5 stars Charango, 10 May 2014
Immediately restrung it with Aquila strings, but strings fitted seemed good. Once tuned up it sounded great. The instrument is very well made, definitely not a tourist model, very good tone and good woods used in construction, no major construction flaws. At 145 this is a real bargain, I mistakenly ordered the same instrument on Ebay and payed twice as much. The only drawback with this instrument is there is not many tutorials for it, but it is very similar to the Ukulele with the exception of the top e strings, also you can get a chord bible for it from 'Fretted Friends'.
KAVAJ leather case "Berlin" for the new Apple iPad&hellip by KAVAJ

Had to cut out the on off button as iPad would not work as it was. Also very tight fit and some holes misaligned. With hindsight would buy the official Apple case.

I would love to be able to play this music but on examining the tab in the book the author has written it out in a non-standard manner by putting the treble notes above the string on the tab and the bass notes below the string on the tab. For me this ruins the book and I suspect that the whole series has been produced the same way. You now have a choice, to learn to interpret the author's non-standard tab, to re-write it yourself or move on and try something else, personally I think that I will be moving on to another blues book, a great pity as this is super music and there is not a lot of tab coverage of it.
