I loved Terra, so of course I read its sequel, Terra's World, as soon as I could.
Terra is older now, a teenager, and her new human friend, Billy, plays a significant role in this adventure, along with some familiar Fnrrn friends. Life on Terra's home world is different now though, and this makes for a somewhat darker setting.
As before, the depth of the characters and the warmth that permeates Mitch Benn's writing is what makes this book special. And yet it still reads like proper sci-fi; the Fnnrns, their cultures and their technology are satisfyingly alien, but it's the plot that kept me gripped from start to finish.
