This almost deserves 4 stars for fun and overall ratings, but it has some major flaws.

1.) It has major performance problems.

I have 2Gb memory, striped Raid array of WD Raptor hard drives, and an nVidia GeForce 7950 GX2. And even on the lowest graphical settings it grinds down to 5 frames per second when things get busy...

The main reason being my good processor of an AMD FX55 isn't a dual core processor which is what this game really needs.

It isn't really the graphics that are demanding in this game - its the physics engine and the AI processing

I bought this game on the strength of the original Dawn of War being a great game (although far too easy after the patches), but people should be warned that this sequel is NOT for Single Player fans of the original.

This is a game for the dedicated Skirmish mode player, and even then I would say it is for people who will play on-line, and NOT for Single players at all.

That is the reason I have given such a low score. I didn't buy it for on line play, and given my expectations based on the original, I really have to say I find this 'sequel' a disappointment on every level.

Shadow of the Horned Rat

Dark Omen

I haven't played the table top games, and I absolutely don't think you need to be a fan of table top games, or even Warhammer in general to enjoy these games.

I was introduced to them when I played the original PC games "Shadow of the Horned Rat" and "Dark Omen", which are both in my top 20 favourite PC games of all time; And this is a sequel that continues the story from those games - although, again, I really don't think people should be worried if they haven't played the earlier games.
