Silly ~ fun ~ what more could you ask?
This is a perfect ~ "I'm bored ... what can I watch?" ~ movie.

4.0 out of 5 stars Really NOT a prequel, 20 Mar 2013
I was pleasantly surprised while watching Prometheus.
It does open up a few interesting ideas and and could lead to a whole new franchise. This path was left open and I have to admit that it would be an interesting journey ~ if the company [Fox] would be prepared to take the gamble.
I didn't feel that I could give the fifth star because the movie did rely rather too strongly on the premises in Alien without creating anything totally new ... having said that, I have now watched Prometheus several times and would give it another half a star, if I could.
The House on the Borderland by William Hope Hodgson
The House on the Borderland by William Hope Hodgson
5.0 out of 5 stars Weird and Wonderful, 22 Jan 2013
I have long wanted to re-read this but mislaid my paperback version.
When I discovered a Kindle for PC version I leaped at it.
The style of writing is a little strange but given when it was written is totally to be expected. In fact if The House on the Borderland was in "modern" English I don't think it would be half as good.
Totally recommended for lovers of the genre.
