1.0 out of 5 stars Noisy and Difficult, 22 Dec 2011
Avoid this printer if you want a peaceful and stress-free life. It takes forever to get going and is very noisy in the process. Then it makes further noisy preparations for start up whenever you do anything like cancel a print job, or unblock a paper jam - the thing is constantly jamming. This is supposedly due to the paper not being aligned perfectly, but no matter how much fussing I do to get the paper in exactly the right position (and why should it be so difficult anyway?)it gets stuck in there and I have to start again. It's infuriating. So if you want to do more than a couple of print outs at a time, forget it! It's a heap of junk in my opinion, but I have to put up with it as it is… Read more

2.0 out of 5 stars false economy, 29 Nov 2011
These boots are very snug and warm due to the lovely furry insides, but they are about as robust as a pair of slippers. They look good, and feel good, but after about 3 weeks of daily wear (just walking for 30 mins a day on a pavement - nothing adventurous), I noticed there were cracks in the heels of the rubber soles - on the same place on both boots. This would explain how I end up with wet socks if it's been raining. Since it rains a lot, I now have to dry my boots on the radiator most nights. Ultimately, you get what you pay for - these are cheap, and they won't last long. I'd advise saving your money towards a quality pair of boots that will last more than one winter.

I knew it was going to be something of a departure from their previous albums, but was still surprised not to love it straight away. Even Blue Orchid took a few plays for me to get into. But it's well worth the effort - this is a grower of an album. The standout tracks for me are My Doorbell (instantly hooked on this one - very catchy) and Passive Manipulation (charmingly sung by Meg), but I now love them all. It's refreshing to hear more piano-based songs and quiet ballads as well as a couple of tracks heavy on the electric guitar - on this album I actually prefer the former. And as far… Read more
