4.0 out of 5 stars Video Nasty, 21 April 2014
Just like the first movie, this brings together another collection of directors to create short horror stories covering various sub genres. It's hard to judge the film as a whole because some stories appeal more than others. The cult and zombie stories were stand out stories for me. The first story with the mechanical eye was so-so and the alien story was the one let down which was lacking in scares and looked rather ridiculous. Worth watching though for a good mix of horror tales.

4.0 out of 5 stars Baader Meinhof, 20 April 2014
Although made by different people and starring different actors, this could be seen as part prequel, part companion piece to The Baader Meinhof Complex. The first half of the movie covers Gudrun Ensslin's life before she met Andreas Baader and the second half focuses on the man she left behind as well as the consequences of her actions with Andreas Baader.
The film is perhaps not as slick as Baader Meinhof but I felt you got a greater insight into the main players in this one. The actions of the Baader Meinhof group are shown through archive newsreel footage rather than being played out in this one which works well as it focuses less on action and more on character.

4.0 out of 5 stars Starred Up, 10 April 2014
Peter Mullan brings another of his nasty 5 seconds from exploding psychopaths to the screen but it's Tim Roth and Jack O'Connell who steal the show on a darkly funny road trip as the latter helps the former out on a job without actually knowing what the job is and to reveal more would give it away. Worth watching, part dark British thriller, part comedy road trip, it's a strange mix but it works.
